Learn what to bring to a potluck
- When you make casseroles
spray the dish with a fine mist of nonstick cooking spray
before you fill it, this makes serving the casserole and clean
up a lot easier.
- If you want to take
homemade baked beans or ham and beans to a get together use
canned great northern beans instead of dried beans and just
add your favorite flavorings.
- To keep the cucumbers
in your salads cool and crisp, just chill them in ice water
overnight.
- Secure serving dish
lids with rubber bands for easier traveling.
- Be sure and mark
your containers and lids so that you don't mix them up with
other families or just in case they get forgotten.
All of these easy recipes work well at potluck

Great Potluck Recipes-
This recipe was given to me by a friend when
I lived in California. It was always a hit at our get togethers.
9 Layer Dip
1 can bean dip
1 small can refried beans
8 oz. cream cheese
2 T. Picante Sauce
2 T. Mayonnaise
1 can avocado dip (guacamole) frozen if you can find it, or
make it fresh
shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzerella or Monterey Jack
cheese
shredded lettuce (to save time you can actually buy iceburg
lettuce already shredded)
chopped tomatoes
chopped black olives ( again you can buy them already chopped)
Place 1 can bean dip and 1 small can
refried beans in a rectangular dish( I use clear glass). Then
mix the 8 oz. cream cheese, 2 T. Picante Sauce with the 2 T.
Mayonnaise to make another layer on top of the beans. Next put
on the1 can avocado dip (guacamole) , then shredded cheddar
cheese, shredded mozzerella or Monterey Jack cheese. After that
top it with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes and chopped black
olives.
Add a bag of corn chips and you have a party favorite.
