What are Digestive enzymes and why do I need
They are the force that allows our body to digest and absorb
food. Our body requires enzymes and minerals to regulate every
biochemical and metabolic process in our bodies as well as
all living things.
Do you suffer from any of the
following symptoms? Heartburn, bloating, indigestion,
chronic fatigue, high cholesterol, heart disease, intestinal
& colon problems, constipation or chronic constipation.
This is become over cooking our food has destroyed the enzymes
that prevent these ailments.
Please read the following study
about the long-term effects of eating cooked foods.
This is now a famous independent study conducted by Dr. Francis
Pottenger regarding the long-term effects of eating cooked
foods. The study involved 900 cats over the course of ten
years. During the study, Dr. Pottenger fed two sets of cats’
raw milk and meat and another three sets of pasteurized milk
and cooked meat. Cats that ate the raw food were healthy and
disease-free and produced healthy kittens generation after
generation. At the end of the first generation, cats that
ate cooked foods were lethargic and began to suffer from allergies,
infections, and other maladies, including kidney, heart, thyroid,
and gum diseases. Each succeeding generation of cats that
ate cooked food showed progressively more illness and disease.
The third generation of cats that ate cooked food was not
even able to produce offspring.
Whether we are cats, dogs, or human beings, when enzyme-dead
food is eaten, the body is overburdened to produce enzymes
to aid in the process of digestion. The body will actually
interrupt the making of vital metabolic enzymes in order to
compensate for the enzyme deficiencies in the foods we eat.
Enzyme-less diets are responsible for many of humanity’s
ills, including the shortening of lives. Today, doctors are
treating children for juvenile arthritis, sugar diabetes,
and other degenerative diseases that just a few years ago
were found only in people in their fifties and sixties.
What can I do?
After pondering the study above, many of us are hoping to
improve our health and longevity, by eating more raw fruits
and vegetables and by taking digestive enzymes to replace
the enzymes destroyed during the cooking process.
